Very pleasant shopping in Leekes
Very pleasant shopping in Leekes, Melksham today. Staff all friendly and helpful and the store well laid out for ease of use. Really pleased to find the coffee shop open. Tamara should be commended for excellent customer service skills.

Outstanding customs service
Just cannot get over how good Leeks have been, having not heard of them much before kitting out our new kitchen! Ordered a toaster for delivery and then after found a microwave that I wanted to add to the order to save extra delivery - I emailed on the off chance I could add it - it was a sunday night and they emailed back to say they would call me tomorrow - they called first thing (tried twice as I missed them) and sorted it out for me so easily. Then they both turn up on my doorstep the very next day. So impressed by customer service and delivery.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Outstanding in every way!
An outstanding example of customer service at it's best, from Owen at Leekes in Melksham. We are moving into a new build property and needed advice on ordering new worktops, sink etc for the kitchen. The range of products is extensive and we needed advice. Owen, talked us through the pros and cons of different products, and was not only incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but also very patient! Company's are generally not interested in customers who do not want a completely new kitchen. Owen however was as helpful and supportive of our needs as if we had been buying a top of the range kitchen and all the extras. Owen has kept us up to date throughout the whole process, keeping in contact and always being available to help with queries along the way. He went above and beyond our expectations on all aspects of service and advice. It is very unusual to come across good customer service these days, so it has been a great relief and pleasure to have such a professional service. I would highly recommended Owen and thank him for all his help in making it a very enjoyable process.

This is now my second review in an attempt to have my complaint acknowledged. My initial complaint was posted and replied to on the 27th August 2020. The reply from Leekes was that I would be contacted. No contact has been made and on the 8th September the reply from Leekes has been changed to ask me to email the installations team...which I have already done so over two months ago! This is unacceptable considering the amount of issues we have had some quite major too. I think its appaling how customers with genuine problems are treated. It is not just myself I have been made aware of a few other current cases at the moment from others. You seem to be full of thanks for those who leave good reviews but a complete lack of care for those who have problems that need resolving. Please could my original complaint be dealt with otherwise I have no choice but to contact the retail Ombudsman now that it has been over 8 weeks trying to get a response.

Just had my delivery of bedroom…
Just had my delivery of bedroom furniture today and would like to say a big thanks to the two drivers who worked so hard carrying the heavy furniture carefully upstairs. They were prompt, friendly and considerate. Thank you Michael and co. Also a big thanks to Jacky on bedrooms and Shelly on furniture for seeing the order through from start to finish. A great team effort.

Kitchen Refit
We have just completed the refit of our Kitchen. The Kitchen Designer Clare lead us carefully through the whole process from design to completion. She listened to our needs & came up with a wonderful design that really works for us. The whole process was stress free from start to finish. She dealt with any queries/problems/concerns very efficiently. Furthermore Alan & his team who installed the Kitchen & carried out other associated work were fantastic. They were very flexible & no problem was too big or small to resolve. They were always trying to make sure the disruption was kept to a minimum which often meant that it was harder for them to work round. Overall both Clare & Alan clearly have the Customer at the forefront of their minds & We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Ordered 3 x hanging baskets online on…
Ordered 3 x hanging baskets online on the 27th JUNE during purchasing they added a disclaimer of a further 7 day delay due to covid. Cutting a long story short had to repeatedly chase for updates and each time they provided a later and later date for the ETA. The final straw was on the 9th SEPTEMBER when they claimed the item wouldn’t arrive until mid OCTOBER. My issue with Leekes is not the delay which is due to their supplier but rather the sheer disregard to proactively inform me of the delays they have incurred from their side. Expecting the customer to chase every time is poor customer service. Will not be shopping with Leekes again.

Excellent service
I ordered a microwave from Leekes, which arrived promptly the following day. Unfortunately though the microwave was dented on the leg of it (clearly done during production as there was no damage to packaging) causing it to wobble. I emailed Leekes and was quickly contacted by a member of their customer service who arranged collection and replacement. They explained the process really well. Can't fault the service that I received from them. Special thanks to Geraldine in customer service team who sorted it for me.

Re opened cafe in Leekes Melksham
Leekes in Melksham have reopened their cafe thank goodness. It seems they are back under new management(with leekes direct i think). What a joy the food was fantastic cooked to perfection, and the staff very helpful and so friendly and even came to the tables asking if everything was ok,What a difference to the past days,keep up the good work and people will start to come back even more and thank tyou for being so aware of covid 19. Appalling After Bathroom Sales CN-09-1150871 - Llantrisant
I have recently purchased and had a new bathroom fitted by Leekes in Llantrisant. The after sales care is absolutely appalling. Due to the current Covid-19 situation the Customer Services Telephone number is out of use making email my only way to make any contact. My initial complaint was sent on the 6th July 2020 and numerous emails to chase this up since but I am still yet to get a full response and explanation as to what went wrong. I have had various employees make contact but only answering part of my query and advising that the complaint had been forwarded to the Business Manager but still no contact from them has been made. I had refrained from posting on this website but feel that I am being ignored in the hope I will give up but this is not the case. I have also emailed the store Manager who has not responded. There have been numerous problems which if my emails were read would be understood. My main issues are as follows; Half way through installation my fitter realised taps had not been ordered for the bathroom sink. I was quite shocked as I specifically remember choosing the taps as I had originally wanted a mixer style tap but was informed by Andrew (Bathroom Sales Advisor) that the sink I had chosen would only accommodate the standard 2 taps. Our fitter immediately spoke to Leekes who advised the taps and the plug (as this was also missing) would need to be ordered from the supplier and we would need to wait. I chased this up and Justine called me ( 17th July) to notify me they had now been ordered and should be in store the following week. She advised that I had originally ordered them but for some reason they had been left off the order to the supplier. She had only been made aware of this issue the previous day which again I find unacceptable considering the fitter had informed Andrew two weeks previously and I had also emailed customer services. We only have the one bathroom and we had to use the kitchen sink to wash our hands and brush our teeth for almost five weeks which I am sorry but it is just not good enough, especially given the current Covid-19 situation where great emphasis is being placed on cleanliness and the washing of hands and with me being pregnant which they were made aware of. The shelves for the cupboards purchased also are unusable as the waste from the sink and the bath runs behind meaning small cuts needed to be made into the back of the cupboards however, the shelves being glass does not allow for these to be cut to size. Andrew and the fitter both visited my home before installation, and I feel this should have been taken into consideration as part of the installation planning. Had we had known we would have happily chosen more suitable cupboards. Numerous times during our installation appointment in store I repeatedly asked, ‘will this/that be okay’ and each time reassured that yes we could have anything we wanted. This was clearly untrue, and I feel they have been miss sold. Our fitter kindly arranged for glass shelves to be made now leaving him out of pocket. He advised he would fit these at the same time as the taps. Although we are very grateful it does not make up for the mistakes that have been made and also if anything was to go wrong with the shelves our warranty with the supplier will be useless as they cupboards have been changed from their original state through no fault of our own. Another big issue we have is that the wrong worktop was fitted. During installation I questioned the fitter who reassured me that there was a protective film covering it and therefore it looked slightly different. However, after the film was removed it was clear it was not the one, we had agreed on. Andrew arranged for the supplier, Calypso to send us a sample which they did. The sample we received was the Calypso Alaska Quartz however, the worktop fitted looks like the Polar Quartz Matt. Andrew spoke to the supplier and confirmed the incorrect one had been fitted and we agreed on a full refund. This was two weeks ago, and I am still awaiting a refund. I emailed Andrew today to chase this up and he seems to be of the impression this has been refunded which is not the case. The only refund we have received this far is for items which were changed prior to the fit that Andrew failed to remove from our invoice meaning our monthly payments were higher than they should have been. Again, I have emailed and explained this. After spending such a large amount of money on the whole refit and encountering so many issues I would appreciate a consistent reply and to stop being ignored.

FIRST CLASS
Just purchased a Devon Duvets sheep wool mattress topper to use on top of a hot memory foam mattress. Let's just say, I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Its heavenly. The topper is excellent quality and Leekes service was first class. The item was delivered in a couple of days. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you.

Excellent Design stage support
We have recently been planning a new kitchen and to be honest it isn't the easiest space to plan with quite a few nooks and crannies which present some issues with design. We sought some design ideas from Howdens (who were recommended to us) and Gardiner Haskins as well as Jon Chater at the Llantrisant branch of Leekes. We have now placed an order with Leekes and have to say that Jon is a credit to your firm (and if his boss is reading this he needs a pay rise !). Jon took the time to listen to what we wanted before presenting a series of well thought through and constructive options. He has been calm, patient and supportive throughout and we have been impressed with both his technical and problem solving abilities. Nothing seems to have been too much trouble for him. If the fitting is half as good as our design experience with Jon we will be very happy. Thank you for making this such a positive experience.
