We are being bounced back and forth…
We are being bounced back and forth between British Gas & Dyno Rod as a HomeCare customer. A leak started in our flat on the 11th July and we are still waiting for British Gas / Dyno Rod to sort it! We have not been able to use our water in our flat for over a month!! Horrendous customer service! 1st issue - phoned in the morning for an emergency plumber - who didn't turn up until after 9pm. He cut through our carpet, damaging it in 2 places (instead of taking it up from the corners). We were told that it was then too late to investigate where the leak is coming from and would have to wait for a leak detection appointment. 2nd issue - 3 weeks later a leak detectorist came and replaced a ballcock in our water tank which he assured us was where the leak had happened although we were skeptical this was the case. Indeed the leak returned and we again had to book in another leak detection appointment. 3rd issue - 1 week later when waiting again for another leak detection appointment today - we waited the whole day to only find out that they had scheduled us in for a 30minute appointment (not at all suitable for the job). At 6pm the plumber calls us to say that there is no point in him coming so we'll have to phone again tomorrow (as the office is shut now) to book another appointment which will be a minimum of another week's waiting time. All in all this is truly unacceptable and if you are considering HomeCare with British Gas who use Dyno Rod to sort problems - please don't waste your money!

Scottish Gas /Dyno-Rod West Lothian, Scotland. Abysmal service. 75 yr old mother pays £450 a year for full cover heating plumbing electrics and last Wednesday night dynarod called out to fix leaking toilet, yelled fixing leaking toilet is not under plumbing cover and did not fix he also broke all the tiling joinery work. So my mother is left with a further plumbing bill and now tiling and joinery.. what a disgrace? Absolutely abominable? I phone Scottish Gas to complain, waiting 30 mins, had just stated I wish to make a complain about a dynarod call out recently and the engineer. The customer service said “I see” and promptly cut me off ? So that’s the Scottish gas service for you!!!

Worst service i have ever had- i dont…
Worst service i have ever had- i dont want to speak to to local service that i orginally employed as they were so unprofessional- the number that was given for me to complain was of no use and i dont have facebook or twitter- please can someone provide me with an email- it is impossible to complain about this company and there are no ways of me talking to anyone- i am going round and round in circles and i am angry i have spent time and money on this horrific company- it is a lesson to only use local services as they company as clearly gotten so big that it has no way of properly addressing customer issues.

Very reliable
Matty rang to say he was half an hour away, he arrived when he said he would. Looked at the leak under the sink, he knew it was a problem with the stop cock, he had it fixed and was on his way within 15 minutes.

Dyno incompetence
A neighbour recently called them out for a leak outside his back door. One of their knocked and said the water would be turned for 30 minutes. An hour or so later water came back on. An hour after they left the water pressure in OUR home disappeared. I told the neighbour who told me he was trying to get them on the phone. He said the repair they had done had burst and the new concrete they had laid was washed away. I called Thames water and an engineer came out who after being told the story said it was dyno plumbings problem. I called dyno plumbing the next morning and was told that as it wasnt me who had the repair done they couldnt deal with me. I spoke to my neighbour again and he told me dyno plumbing team had decdied to circumnavigate the problem by cutting into next doors pipework. Dyno plumbing then told him as it was now on the other side they couldn't deal with him any longer and the neighbour next to him had to call as it was now on a different property. Customer service and common sense or morality mean absolutely nothing to this company. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

We had a problem with our drains (no chemical would work). We contacted DynoRod and they came round that evening after hours (because they were so busy), but same day anyway, so we were grateful. Sean Brady did a great job. He was fast, professional, no mess left behind, and he was kind and considerate throughout. Thanks DynoRod!

Dysfunctional Service
6 engineers out in 6 days to fix a blockage. Engineers show up with no knowledge of the problem, or thinking the problem is something else, causing them to be unprepared. They put in a varying amount of time (as short as 5 minutes) on the problem before we need drains/plumbing, whatever the engineer isn't, requiring an appointment the next day. The 7th is coming tomorrow. Refusal to either send an engineer equipped for both, or send both a drains and plumbing engineer means they probably won't be the last. Unable to use any sinks or the washing machine and the place stinks to high heaven. A good way to increase how much they can charge, an utterly dysfunctional way to provide a service. Would not recommend.

Was visited yesterday by Tom Pearson to repair 2 leaking toilets, both were sorted within an hour. Tom explained what he'd done, took away all the old parts. He was very polite and and respectful and used brilliant social distancing. A real credit to your company.

Dyna-rod rubbish
Called British Gas landlord team, Dyna rod engineer booked for morning, was in such a rush he smashed the bath, then has tried to blame me the landlord, and glued the bits back with superglue!! Wont admit to it, so I have to pay for new bath.
