DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Had a plumber come out to fix my boiler as after being on for a awhile a red light appears and the heating and water turns off. The engineer came and spent an hr on the boiler and at the end said he had reset the thermostat and charged the boiler and said if it still carries on il need a new thermostat. Now resetting a thermostat and charging me £175 is not a solution to my problem as sure enough a couple hr after he left the red light appeared. The engineer has also made it worse as now my boiler makes a loud noise when it’s on. I rang the company 7 days in a row to try and get this dealt with and all’s I got was rude customer service staff and false promises of getting a call back from management. The company want to now charge me for a thermostat and for how long it would take an engineer to install it. When I asked about the £175 I’d already payed they said that’s for the guy fault finding the faulty thermostat. I think this is absolutely outrageous that they are willing to charge me £175 to tell me Iv a faulty thermostat when the engineer knew it was faulty and should of changed it there and then. So now I’m left with a worse boiler than before and I’m £175 down. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a company and as I can seen a lot of similar reviews of how bad this company is. Please people do not use this company

Subcontractors
Although the drainage guy was super helpful and solved the problem I have since discovered that this company is actually a subcontractor. I rang and asked for a quote from the company that turned up to be told a figure £100 less than what I have paid. So this company takes a £100 profit to arrange someone coming out to you.

Would never use again
Would never use again. Paid over one hundred pounds for a wasp nest removal. Guy showed up 2 hours late with no warning. Wasp nest treatment didn't work but was told by the engineer that if it hadnt worked within 5 days to give them a call back and would be re treated. Just spent 40 mins trying to reach someone on the phone to be told in wrong and I have to leave it 7 days...... All the while I have hundreds of wasps in my house. Good at taking your money, not great after that

Cancelled last minute
Really disappointing service. I bookd an appointment which they then cancelled at the last minute only offering another 3 days later. They claim they work 7 days. Clearly not the case. Avoid if you need them urgently. They have left me high and dry.

Let me down
I called on Thursday to get someone to fix 2 broken bedroom windows. I was told someone would be with me by 12 on Friday to measure up. So, I booked in - provided my credit card details, got email confirmation etc - and waited in all morning on Friday. When no-one arrived by 12 I called and was told no-one would be available until at least Monday. Glazing needs are, by nature, always urgent - if they couldn’t be here til Monday they should have said so when I first called. And if there was a subsequent problem, they should have called me. Instead, they wasted half my day, and their terrible customer service almost resulted in me being left with a broken window unattended for 4 more days. Fortunately, I found another local company who came out the same day, and were cheaper too. Able are an example of when the firm whose ad comes top in google are not necessarily the best.

WATCH OUT FOR ADDED TAX
WATCH OUT got a quote for a plumbing job 72 pound including VAT work complete charged 28 pound for a 4.00 pound tap plus £20 vat total £120 for £76 now £46 out my pocket for 15 minutes work? £120 I have to work for 2 days to make that amount I understand we all have to make a living but don’t tell people vat included them add it on miss informing customers.☹️

Wish I could give 0 stars. Please avoid the plumbing side of this company. Appalling service, complete rip off. Customer service stinks. Sue - job ref 4145387. This has been going on for weeks with promises to call back. They said they would rip cheque up - only to then bank it. They've promised money back but everytime we ring person dealing with it is not there.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company provided a ‘plumber’ to fix my elderly mother’s leaking toilet cistern. The man who came took one look at the loo and said it couldn’t be fixed ( I have since replaced a washer with no training at all). He tried to convince my mother that she needed a whole new toilet (I repaired it for 40p) which my mother refused. He isolated the supply using the isolation valve and my mother asked him to leave as she was feeling intimidated. He then wrote an invoice for £132 (baring in mind there is no call out fee). My mother argued this so much with him she ended in tears when I spoke to her about it. He eventually left having been paid half price. I complained to the company who said they would investigate and refund the money. Neither of which has happened despite multiple phone calls. This man is praying on the vulnerable. The follow up customer service has been dreadful. I would never use this company again. UPDATE: Still no refund. Whenever I call them to chase my refund they say "the person who deals with refunds is on leave, it will be in your account within 3 - 5 days." They don't even have my bank details yet!! Fantastic Service and a nice Engineer.
Our back door lock failed and Able were here on the same day in fact within 2 hours. The engineer struggled for over 90 minutes to gain access because of the security system but eventually maaged it. He then fitted a new multipoint lock gearbox and got the door working again. Two hours to complete. Well done!

I MET THE " PEST" MAN WHO WHO AGAIN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLIITE AND WAS VERY VERY INFORMATIVE. IT WAS NICE TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE IMMEDAITELY OPPOSED TO OPRIONS, 1, 2 3,... Blocked drain
Blocked drain. Arrived same day and drain cleared. Had all the equipment I would use them again. Price seemed reasonable but I didn't check around so other companies might be cheaper however I was satisfied with the work done.

This review is given as poor simply because of the price charged. I had a problem with my kitchen window which would not close properly. I was informed that if a new handle had to be fitted the cost would be £94. When the engineer arrived, he was very pleasant and had sorted the issue withing 2-3 minutes, as the glass panel had dropped and simply had to be pushed back. I was then charged £87 for this which I thought was extortionate. So although the company advertises a no call out fee, be AWARE that they do charge for the simplest work

Blocked internal drain
Found our garage room flooded by an overflowing / blocked manhole. Being a weekend it look a while for the drainage expert to arrive, but provided a friendly and efficient service to solve the blocked drain problem, and explained the cause. Very pleased.
