This is one of my worst customer care…
This is one of my worst customer care experiences in this country for >15 years. I called for a boiler repair and a man from this company came to look at my boiler and I must say it was all smooth until this time although they did not turn on the day or time that they promised for which I had to chase. He looked at boiler and took 5-10 minutes to identify what the problem was and completed explaining to me what needs to be done within 15-20minutes. Then he started writing this on his invoice book and I am really sorry to say that I felt that my 6 year old daughter would have written faster than this man. He took nearly 1/2 hour to complete this and then I realised that he charged for this 1/2 hour as the call out charges are for every 30 minutes which I thought was completely unacceptable. I got really unhappy and informed this to him and this is something I never heard or seen. If I had known about this earlier, I would have asked him to leave at the end of 15-20 minutes especially after knowing that the problem could not be solved on that day. It would have been acceptable at least if he resolved the issue and I paid for something quite productive. For 15 minutes of his job, I had to pay out nearly £230. Then he said the company will contact me with quotes the following day or max 2 days. However, despite my efforts at chasing this I never heard from this company again regarding a quote or an attempt to resolve the issue and it has been 2 weeks. I regret now for not reading the reviews especially scored 'Bad' as my experience is more or less similar to other reviewers with bad experience. Another lesson learnt...

Called Abel to fix a leaking toilet…
Called Abel to fix a leaking toilet with water dripping through the ceiling. The person who eventually repaired it did a decent job. But not so satisifed with Abel itself : 1.Issues with the Pricing : I informed abel of the issue and was quoted £110 +VAT to fix it. I even asked if they could come and check it for themselves but they said they provide the quote on the phone and we have to decide to go with it or not. But then Abel were unfair in charging an additional £50 for parts which was NOT mentioned when I made my query. Further I have found that the parts actual cost was around £20, so I was overcharged for that too. 2. It was only fixed at the second attempt by Abel, two days after the original plumber said he could not do it (and diagnosed a different 'fault').

As others say it is a total rip off
As others say it is a total rip off. Had the landlord gas certificate request which I was charged £144.00 was told there was a gas leak so no certificate. They went back after I had someone lift the floorboard for them the firm sent 3 men they capped off a pipe spent 1 hour doing this and then charged £409.20. Originally I was told I would be charged £79 + vat a half hour you do the maths. ????

Leaking Pipe
Pipe on flat external roof, sprung a leak. Plumber came and resolved the situation, but did'nt replace the pipe which he said was ageing. My only complaint is the price, £147 for 10 mins on site, nice work if you can get it. Unfortunately at 84 I'm past it. !!

Diabolical!
Contacted Able group at 4.18am on 21/01/21 for Electrician as lost all power to house and could smell burning from consumer unit, said he'd be there between 8.00am and 12pm I was expecting between 30-90 mins as stated on website as I thought it was an emergency with the burning smell. Electrician from Andrew Electrical Co.ltd turned up 9.30am, WEARING A MASK, which I was impressed with, said "you've lost power?" He didn't even know about the burning smell as this information had not been passed on. He diagnosed the problem, faulty main switch, needed changing but he didn't have one on his van as it needs to be like for like and he didn't know where to obtain it from. He then looked in the meter cupboard outside and said he wouldn't have been able to proceed as the main power feeding the unit was sealed and Western Power needed to be called out to break the seal so he basically couldn't continue anyway. We contacted another local electrician (who had originally fitted the consumer unit years ago) while other chap was still here and the local electrician said he'd be with us within a couple of hours. He came, he had the part and he sorted it! I was then billed by Able for £86.40! I contacted Able today asking what exactly I was being charged for as the job hadn't been done and the charge was for DIAGNOSIS! Absolutely diabolical!! Can I just state that the contracted electrician was VERY professional and EVEN phoned me up later that day to check I'd got it fixed! He went above and beyond. He obviously had to go by Able's policy. Lovely chap shame he deals with this company. I certainly won't be dealing with them again.

My experience was absolutely…
My experience was absolutely disgusting! I had one visit , never came back . Ignored my calls and emails . Demanded payment and the work wasn’t even done . Then when I did get a reply it was threatening me about court proceedings if the payment wasn’t made with in seven days . Again I can’t stress enough ... the work wasn’t complete at all . Very unprofessional. Feel let down by this company . Would never recommend to anyone . Over all feeling wish I’d have rang another company.

Don't bother.... Total rip off
Rang in the morning and was told emergency electrician would be there between 10am and 3pm. Thankfully they didn't turn up so I cancelled the appointment and I'm so glad, I got the job done by a local electrician for £70 less than I was quoted by Able. The motto of this one is support your local tradesmen

Disgusted with this company and their services
This company is just after your money the electrician did nothing. I booked an electrician to come and sort my electricy out i had no electricy as it kept tripping out every time it was reset. He came and tested NOTHING all he done was put the switches on the panel board back up. He then said 'I can't wait for it to trip out' so I am going if it trips out again call me and i will come back but you will be charged again He was not even there for 10 minutes.After he left less than 5 minutes it went off again. I called and texted him no reply. What a surprise!!!! So I paid £86.40 for a electrician to be in my home for less than 10 minutes to sort the problem out .... that was a big joke . He repaired nothing!!!! So I still had no electricy. So I had to find and pay for a local electrician. He sorted the problem out in 5 minutes and was much cheaper. Dont get blindfolded by their fancy website and the promises of calling you back that's not going to happen. I would definitely 100 % never use this company again or recommend them. Don't get ripped off

Utterly disgusted by the way I have been treated
My power shower packed in on 3 December. I called ABLE and they had an "expert" with me by 2pm that day. He charged me £86.40 to tell me that I needed a new pump and that someone would contact me, probably that day, to provide a quote for fitting a new pump. My 1pm on 4 December no one had rung so I phoned them and was told they had all the necessary information and someone would ring me back by 5pm - they didn't On Monday 7 December I rang again to be told it was in hand and someone would ring back later - they didn't. On 8 December I spoke to someone who assured me he would raise this to the highest possible level and that someone would ring back by 5pm - they didn't Eventually I gave up and called in a local plumber who examined my pump to find that there was nothing wrong with it other than the fact that it was gummed up with limescale - I provided documentary proof of this and sent it all off in an email which was ignored. I then sent a letter in, outlining all of this and asked for a refund of my fee of £86.40 - this too was ignored. On 18 December I wrote to their MD telling him all about this sorry tale and a few days later I got a phone call from a lady who apologised profusely and assured me that a refund would be made in 10 - 12 working days. By mid January I had not received my refund so I phoned their complaints department and spoke to an extremely rude young man who not only denied that they'd ever had any documentary proof of my claim but that no one had ever telephoned me and I was making the whole thing up. I've written again to their MD but this time have had no response.

Conservatory window replaced brilliantly- thank you
Smashed a conservatory window whilst cutting lawn. Received brilliant service from your Bexley branch, measured Monday morning, new sealed unit manufactured and fitted Tuesday morning. Very cheerful and pleasant fitter - did a great neat job and left the place spotless. Many thanks for such excellent service despite the Covid19 situation.
