Rats In The Walls
We contacted Able to request help with rats in our loft. We live in the Chorley area and a gentleman called Ben came out. He was very professional, patient, courteous and knowledgeable. He gave us advice in relation to pest-proofing the house, as well as setting baits etc. He also spotted a potential problem with woodworm which could have been costly. I would definitely hire Ben again but hope we won't need to.

requested a quote for some work, could not give a definite time just a 4 hour time slot, 3 hours into the time slot, received a phone call from them saying they could not come out as the person had phoned in sick and could not give me a date when they could book me back in for a quote - terrible customer service, so basically telling me to go elsewhere, which I did

Arrived as promised, in fact earlier. Job done immediately. No hesitation. Have been told to just get in touch if we see any wasps and they will return immediately. Happy with that. Good service.

Horrible
Horrible, pathetic excuse for a business. Twice they didnt show. First time cancelled within the last hour they said they could come and second time, even though we verbally agreed I would be home all day they decided not to show again. Also, how poorly managed are they that the time frame is an entire work day, 8 to 5, what an absolute joke. However, both days, I didn't go work, I waited around for this unreliable,waste of a company, two days pay, two days of being productive, waisted on waiting for them. Never again. No management has phoned back to apologise and at this point I wouldn't waste anymore time on them.

A great first experience of Able Group
Delighted to get someone out on the day I reported problem. Good to see priority attached to COVID-19 processes which were fully compliant. Engineer took just five minutes to identify cause of problem with the locks and 20 minutes to put it right. Door now works as it should. Very impressed.

Pleased with speedy pane replacement
After we recently chipped a lounge double glazed pane with a small stone flung up by our lawnmower, we sought help from a major chain who still to date haven't got back to us. A friend gave us Able Group Glazing's number and were most surprised and pleased as to how quick we were able to arrange a visit for a quote from a very efficient, friendly chap from Able Group called Danny. We were even more pleased when he said the d/g glass pane would be ready and installed within a week! He was very concerned when the smallest delay of no consequence occurred and phoned us promptly to keep us informed. The pane was subsequently installed well within any expectations and as said, we found Danny to be very friendly and most pro-active in his work - indeed a credit to your company! Many thanks!!

This company does not deserve 1 star
This company does not deserve 1 star. Their customer services are unprofessional and rude. We were charged just under £200 to detect a fault and it took them over a week to send us a report with a quote, despite their engineer disconnecting our power supply in our kitchen. I made a formal complaint via email on the 7th of September, till today no one has acknowledged my email or contacted me, I’ve phoned them several times and been told that I will be called back by Steve, Donna or Nicola but no one has ever bothered to call me back. They finally gave us a quote of just under £2000 but we found someone on checkatrade.com who did the job plus call out for £150!! I’ve found out from other reviews online that, they are prejudiced towards people with ethnic names, judging by the way they have ignored our complaint this appears to be true. They will be reported to the trading standards and I am in the process of taking legal action against them due to the distress and inconvenience they have caused us.

EFFECTIVE WASP REMOVAL SERVICE
On site within 3 hours of phoning. Very efficient treatment of a large wasps nest in our loft. Problem quickly solved. Would recommend. Just a suggestion, but if the service also involved securing the property (even for an additional charge) this would be useful. We still have the hole in our sofit board where the wasps initially gained access and are now looking for someone to board this up to prevent the problem recurring.

Excellent service
I was delighted with the service I received from the Able Group. The locksmith arrived promptly. I had just moved from Cornwall to Hastings but had been provided with keys and a lock that didn't work properly. I am 80 years old and have a large dog that needs exercising outside the house and was terrified I'd get shut out. He gave me a choice of locks and excellent service. The only problem was the price which seemed a lot. However, I'm more than happy with the result. The locksmith was very friendly and efficient. Thank you.

We telephoned Able Group early in the morning, was advised the plumber would be with us between 1 and 4pm. The plumber called and said he would be with us at 11.45 am. The plumbers were really good and cleaned up behind them. They explained what they had done and also left the old parts to prove they had replied them. They were really good and polite at all times. We would highly recommend them.

They don't deserve one star
I don't think that they deserve even one star. They sent two guys out to look at our mouse problem in our kitchen. They just looked around a bit and put some poison down. They did not check anything like where the mice could get in, and did not suggest anything useful at all. The mice have got into a wall cavity and are obviously coming out to play when no-one's about, but they took my money and when we told them that nothing had changed they sent the two guys back and they shrugged their shoulders and said there wasn't a lot they could do. Save your money, you can buy the poison yourself, you can see the droppings yourself, if you need professionals, call them and pay them a higher amount to do a job that is worthwhile - they still took about 140 quid from me for precisely nothing.
